I'm BACK! From China, from MIA and all... :)

China was great and now, school has started! Many upcoming events which to be honest. I hope I can cope with. HA!

After coming back from China, I believe I had put on weight!:( Sad to say... Even though it is a bliss to be able to eat all the good food. From Chomp chomp (Serangoon?), Botak Jones, Jap restaurant to Fish & Co...

My resolution for this sem shall be to eat less & save up! Weeeee... hehehe..

Recently, I tried the Fish spa tingy at Farmart. Omg! Like quite scary:S Hehe.. I was the one who initiated it yet when I pulled Chewy to try, he placed his feet in the water all the time while I kept pulling my legs away from the waters. The feeling at first feels like "ma bi". LOL. Wierd so I pulled out. I then bravely lowered my feet in again. This time, I looked at the swarms of fishes biting at my legs. Wah!! SCARY. Lift it up again. HA. I was scolded by Chewy lo cuz whenever I pull away, the many fishes would swim up to his feet. Hahahahaha. It's quite fun but we stayed for only 15mins- $5.

After it, it was then it hitted upon me that, what if people with dieases and open wounds came into contact with this water. Oh man. I got worried as Chewy had a minor wound and would he be at risk? I went online to search about this fish spa. Apparently, at other places, the water was sterilised by UV lights and treated though there was a case at AMK, where 2 sisters contracted fungal infection after the spa treatment. Erm.. that's a bad sign eh.

The below is what a doctor commented from that article:

Dermatologist Patricia Yuen says:
1. No proven medical benefit from fish spa. Fish might bite off skin cells, but it is not a medical treatment. If water is not treated for hygiene, it could be a breeding ground for fungi.
2. Possible to get fungal and bacterial skin infection from submersion in the fish tank.
3. Symptoms of fungal and bacterial infection and redness of the skin, blotchiness and itchiness. With scratching and after-treatment, a brown pigmentation may appear. Brown patches will disappear eventually anytime from a few weeks to a few months.

I am quite suspicious of the fish spa at farmart... It did not put any information of the ways it sterilize the water. Sigh. Shall not do any more stunts. Just in case, prevention is better then cure thus I will refrain from going again already. :) btw, I saw over thd net that HIV/AIDs and all cannot be transmitted through the water or the fishes.
